Imagine playing poker, but with five dice. This is hands down the most popular game to play with dice in the US. You have three chances to roll five dice to achieve the best poker hand. One game of Yatzee goes 13 rounds, and after each series of 3 rolls, you check off the best dice combination.

On the top section, you go for pairs and add up the sum of the pairs for all six dice (1 through 6). If your total is 63 points of over, you add 35 points as a bonus.

On the bottom section, you try and roll dice combinations that are similar to poker 3 of a kind (total of all dice), 4 of a kind (total of all dice), full house (25 points), sm straight 4 dice in order (30 points), large straight 5 dice in order (40 points), Yatzee (50 points) & Chance (total of all dice)

Beetle

Another popular game to play with dice is Beetle. A player rolls 1 dice to determine which body part to draw of a beetle.

Rules: You must draw the body of the Beetle itself first. The game itself does not start until the player has rolled a 1 to draw the body shape. The same applies to the antenna and eyes; both cannot be drawn until the player has rolled a 2.

Directions for play Bunco is played in two to four sets, with 6 rounds in each set. The players are divided into groups of 4. The objective is to have the highest score at the end of six rounds of play. The game starts when the player at the head table rings a bell. During the game, players at each table take turns and roll the 3 dice to earn points. All tables play at the same time, simultaneously. Each round associates to a number on the dice. For each round, players try to roll the exact same number as the number initially rolled. For example, three 1s in Round One, three 2s in round Two, and so on.) When the team at head table reaches 21 points, the round is over. The players at head table ring a bell to signal that the round is over. At the end of every round, partners and tables are switched. At the end of a game, there might be multiple winners. The player with the most Buncos wins. Winners may earn prizes for their victory. Playing all the round 6 completes one set of the game.

Bunco Rules Change partners in every round. This makes the game more lively. For every number rolled that matches the round number, one point is awarded to that player. If you roll two-of-a-kind, you earn 2 points. If someone rolls 3 of kind, he or she is awarded 5 points. If someone rolls 3 of a kind of the target number, that's a win or "bunco!" The player will get an instant 21 points
