Your polyhedral dice set, online

A standard tabletop RPG set has seven dice: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and a percentile d10 (d100). Click any of them above to roll it. Click the same die again to add another, so three clicks on d6 rolls 3d6. Modifiers you typed, like +5, are kept.

Common D&D rolls

Critical hits

On a critical hit you roll all of the attack's damage dice twice. For a longsword (1d8+3), type 2d8+3. Natural 20s are outlined in gold and natural 1s in red so nobody at the table misses them.

Playing a simpler game? The plain dice roller handles up to ten dice with hold and reroll.

Frequently asked questions

How do I roll with advantage?

Type 1d20 plus any modifier (for example 1d20+5), set the mode to Advantage and press Roll. Two d20s are rolled and the higher one is kept; the other is shown faded. Disadvantage keeps the lower one.

What dice notation does the roller understand?

Standard notation: NdS for N dice with S sides, joined with + or −. Examples: 1d20+7, 2d6+1d4+3, 8d6 for a fireball, 1d% or 1d100 for percentile. Up to 100 dice per term.

How do I roll ability scores?

Press "Roll ability scores". It rolls 4d6 six times and drops the lowest die each time, the standard method in the D&D Player's Handbook.

What does a natural 20 mean?

A "nat 20" is when the d20 itself shows 20 before modifiers. In D&D 5e it is an automatic hit and a critical hit on attack rolls. A natural 1 is an automatic miss. The roller highlights both.
